Scarlet Trumpet Honeysuckle have long lasting orange-red flowers from June until October.
This is one of the hardiest honeysuckles for colder climates, it tolerates temperatures below minus 40˚ Celcius. After more than 50 years in cultivation still one of the most popular honeysuckles, praised for its long flowering season and its hardiness.
This cultivar is now in cultivation as ´Dropmore Scarlet´, but ´Dropmore Scarlet Trumpet´is the oldest and therefore the correct name. It is named after a village in Manitoba province, Canada.
