Etruscan Honeysuckle
Scandent semi-evergreen shrub with glaucous, blue-green and usually pubescent leaves. Inflorescence in terminal spikes, often in groups of three; flowers in closely packed whorls, yellow tinted red, becoming deep yellow; fragrant. Berries red.
Native of Mediterranean region, North Africa to Syria and Palestine.
Etruscan honeysuckle needs a plenty sunlight to make it flower freely, but loves its roots in the shade. Well drained soil, that does not dry out in summer, required for this beautiful Mediterranean species.
