Lonicera macranthoides Hand. Mazzet

Lonicera macranthoidesStrong growing, semi-evergreen, climbing shrub. Inflorescences and young branches densely covered with irregular, fine short soft erect hairs. Branches soon glabrous, shinny chestnut brown with a narrow pith.
Flowers paired, in terminal many flowered clusters at the ends of lateral branches, creamy white, fading yellow, on the outside with extremely short, retrorse hairs and orange colored glands.
Very similar to L. similis var. delavayi.
Very rare species. Native of China: Sichuan.
